APPLICATION OF NOVAGRANI FLEK COAT: APPLIED BY SPRAY ONLY.

SPRAY EQUIPMENT: Best results are obtained with medium/ large nozzle set-ups.
A pressure pot or pressure feed cup gun fitted with an internal mix cap is recommended.

PRESSURE: A pot pressure of 0.9 to 2 kg/cm2 and air pressure at gun of 1.4 to 2 kg/cm2 are recommended.
To ensure continuity of pattern, pressure should not be allowed to fluctuate during application.

VENTILATION: Adequate ventilation is essential and windows should be opened before and during spraying and throughout the drying period.

SPRAYING TECHNIQUES: Spray using the Cross-lap method of application. Always hold the gun at right angles to the surface. Work across or down the surface moving the whole arm. Do not spray by flexing the wrist. For best coverage (and to ensure the correct spreading rate) the first lap should be a mist or guide coat, immediately followed on the other lap with a normal spray coat.

To ensure uniform and adequate thickness of coating it is essential that the recommended spreading rate is not exceeded. Adjust gun settings to achieve desired patterns.

CLEANING: When changing colours, clear gun and pressure lines by rinsing with water. If left overnight, clean with turpentine.

DRYING TIME: Surface dry in 4 to 6 hours. Hard dry in 24 hours. Complete dry in 1 week.
Humid conditions may retard the initial dry. Do not apply Novagrani Flek Coat when humidity is high enough to cause surface condensation or when the temperature falls below 5 degrees C during the drying period.

PRECAUTIONS: Adequate ventilation is essential during spraying and for 2 hours after completion. Eye protectors and mask should be worn during application. Splashes on skin to be removed with a recognised hand cleaner. Keep away from children. Store and use away from heat and flame. Protect from frost.

Flash point above 32 degrees C (90 degrees F) Abel closed cup method.
